A remarkably steep climb immediately after takeoff is perhaps the video's top highlight, but enthusiasts will enjoy the touch-and-go
landing and – in Boeing’s words – “high-banking turns that show wing flex.”
The video, recorded over Washington state, is from a practice run in preparation for the Farnborough Airshow - one of the biggest annual events in the aviation industry (11-15 July 2016).
The Boeing 787-9 is designed for 290 passengers. The length of the aircraft is 63 meters, the wingspan — 60.17 and the maximum takeoff weight is 254 tons.
The aircraft is capable of flying at a speed of 956 kilometers per hour. It took off for the first time in September 2013.
The 787 was designed to be 20% more fuel efficient than the Boeing 767, which it was intended to replace.
The 787 Dreamliner's distinguishing features include mostly electrical flight systems, swept wingtips, and noise-reducing chevrons on its engines.
