A British Airways internal presentation from 2003 to celebrate Concordes 27 years in service.
Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde is a retired turbojet-powered supersonic passenger airliner or supersonic transport (SST),
and with the Soviet Tupolev Tu-144 remains one of only two SSTs to enter commercial service.
First flown in 1969, Concorde entered service in 1976 and continued commercial flights for 27 years.
It flew regular transatlantic flights from London Heathrow and Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to New York JFK and Washington Dulles;
it profitably flew these routes at record speeds, in less than half the time of other airliners.
Concorde was retired in 2003, due to the fact that airlines could make more profit carrying first class passengers subsonically.
