Born near Moscow in 1991, Anna Volodko began training in circus arts at age nine, in her hometown's Piligrim Circus Club.  She began performing at age twelve in Youth Circus shows and festivals, winning several awards.  Meanwhile, Anna studied Social Culture Management at the University of Moscow.  She eventually became a professional circus artist when she was hired by Circus Nikulin, the legendary "Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard", in 2008.  There, her rope act, Amazon, was created with the help of circus choreographer Oksana Druzhinina.  Anna has since performed her rope act all over Russia, Bali, Morocco, and in the United States in the Big Apple Circus production of Dream Big in 2011-2012.
