Emile Carey was born in Arthabaska, Quebec, Canada.  He began juggling in front of an audience in his school when he was twelve years old, and thought he could make a profession of it.  After high school, he enrolled at the Ecole Nationale de Cirque in Montreal, where he graduated as a juggler in 2001.  Meanwhile, as a Junior Competitor, he had already been awarded two consecutive Gold Medals (1999 and 2000) for his juggling technique by the International Juggling Association.  He made his circus debut in the Big Apple Circus production of Big Top Doo-Wop in 2001.  He has appeared in many television shows in Canada and in Europe, in Rolf Knie’s Salto Natale in Switzerland, and has worked with Cirque du Soleil and Cirque Eloize.
