Driving From Italy To China ... With No Driver
An Italian team has embarked on an 8,000 mile (13,000 km) journey to China, to test the technology in driverless vehicles.
The two driverless vehicles are equipped with four laser
scanners and seven video cameras that work together to
detect and help avoid obstacles. They will travel at a
maximum of 37 mph.
It is a real-world test of VisLab's artificial vision and intelligence systems.
