Amazing what the ibex will do for a salt lick.
A female Alpine Ibex, a species of wild goat that lives in the mountains of the European Alps, licks salty stones on a near-vertical dam at lake Cingino in Italy, followed by her young at an altitude of 2,200m.
With split hooves and rubber-like soles, the Alpine ibex is able to climb this near-vertical rock face.
