Jethro Tull Flutist & ISS Astronaut Perform First Earth-Space Duet
Cady Coleman, musician and an astronaut, performing the first ever space-earth musical duet with Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, in celebration of 50 years of human space flight. Coleman is aboard the International Space Station, while Anderson is somewhere on Earth.
The song chosen to go down in history was “Bourree,” which Anderson performed with Jethro Tull during the band’s 1969 U.S tour.
NASA says in a press release that the song was performed as Neil Amrstrong and Buzz Aldrin stepped on the moon.
