Lego Space Shuttle Actually Sent To Space
The official NASA Space Shuttle has finally been retired. In honor of the great achievements that came from the shuttle, German space enthusiasts launched a Lego model of the space shuttle into space, carried by a weather balloon.
The launch took place from central Germany and reached a maximum altitude of 115,000 fet (35 km).
A 1600g meteo balloon filled with helium was used alongside a GoPro Hero, Spot GPS and of course Lego Space Shuttle model 3367.
