Propeller Driven Car (1932)
A one-of-a-kind French automobile, the 1932 Helicron, was discovered in 2000 in a barn, where it was placed by its owners in the late 1930s.
It is driven by a propeller bolted directly to a 4 cylinder air-cooled engine.
This Helicron passed the French safety inspection in 2000 and is approved for use on the roads.
When the propeller is spinning at full rpm, the 1,000-pound boat-tailed car can hit freeway speeds of 75 mph.
This is the only Helicron in existence. The car can be seen at the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.
