Kamila Valieva started out by winning the short program with a new personal best score of 84.19.
In the free skate she landed all of her jumps successfully but for her triple Axel, setting a another new world record
for the women's free skate (180.89) and total score (265.08).
Kamila Valieva (born 2006) is the 2021 Skate Canada International champion, the 2021 CS Finlandia Trophy champion,
and the 2021 Russian national silver medalist.
Valieva is the current world record holder for the women's free skating and total scores.
