A vehicle of this many wheels can afford to go without one of them for a bit ....  This is a Tatra T815 truck, produced by the Czech company Tatra.  It uses swinging half-axles giving independent suspension and was originally designed for extreme off-road conditions.  It even says in the owners manual that you can continue driving with a missing wheel, but you are advised to tie off the axle so it won't hit the ground. The T815 and its descendant models brought the Czech truck racer Karel Loprais to victory six times in the Paris - Dakar Rally.
