Damien Walters (born 1982) is a British gymnast specialising in tumbling. He participated in four Trampoline World Championships. In 2003, he was one of four members of the British team winning the World Title in the team competition. Walters has had the role of stuntman in the films 'Hellboy II', 'Kick-Ass', 'Ninja Assassin' and 'Scott Pilgrim vs. the World'. In 2010, he won the Taurus World Stunt Awards for "Best Fight" in the film 'Ninja Assassin'. He will also appear in the upcoming films 'Blitz', 'The Eagle' and Steven Spielberg's 'I Am Number Four'. He also has a passion for Parkour and Freerunning where he combines his gymnastic skills and stuntman abilities.
Definitions: Tumbling is an acrobatic gymnastics discipline, which is practiced on a 25 meter long dynamic track. Tumblers go along the track performing eight consecutive elements without interruption or change of the rhythm. Only the feet and hands are allowed to make contact with the track.
Freerunning is a form of urban acrobatics in which participants, known as free runners, use the city and rural landscape to perform movements through its structures. It incorporates efficient movements from parkour, adds aesthetic vaults and other acrobatics, creating an athletic and aesthetically pleasing way of moving.
